The Outlaw of Torn 1st Edition Edgar Rice Burroughs 9781450518307 Books
Outlaw of Torn is almost just like the western with the bandits in the sir title. The re was two outlaws and then there is the usual kidnapping of the one fair maiden in the land that apparantley only the greatest swordsmen and anyone associated have this great false in the same woman. There are skips and jumps in this story and then the portions are actively filed in later. There are scenes that behave like the monster men where the characters come after the others the good over the bad and then the best part was near the end where the bad guy got in a lucky blow and then the good guy finishes him.. the guy the guy finished before that made the bad guy look good as he was going to fall torturing him that looks like the makings of a good film a good directors cut... that is the best part of the entire story next to the later part. the faithful parts are the history comparisons that are necessary to go with the story. the time frame the way people are the descriptions of the castle the might of the armies the specific numbers of the soldiers etc,... very nice and then the writer said ok now this is mine so this gives pole a lesson to try their own the usual gritty talk but again fits in the the 1200's...Product details

The Outlaw of Torn 1st Edition Edgar Rice Burroughs 9781450518307 Books Reviews
Fencing, chivalry, romance, nobility and more fencing!
This quasi historical romantic fiction is Burroughs at his peak. You'll love it.
This book gives a colorful description of the barons rebellion led by simon de montfort. Burroughs has a unique writting style.
A classic tale by Edgar Ric Burroughs. I have read this book several times and enjoy more with each reading.
Arrived faster than I expected. Excellent read. I will be buying other Edgar Rice Burroughs books.
The Outlaw of Torn is a classic british tale! A young prince is stolen from his home and turned into an outlaw by a man plotting revenge on the king. Follow the outlaw of Torn on his journey fighting against what he has been taught and trying to accept what he sees.
Returning to this book for the first time since childhood, it is clear how it captured the soul. As Ray Bradbury said, we liked the early science fiction authors e.g. H.G. Wells, and we lost Burroughs to our growing intellectualism. But we loved Burroughs - he remained in the blood.
I've loved this book for years. it's a great adventure. a man insulted by the English king, steals his infant son and raises him to be an outlaw
in the hopes that one day he will be caught and hung by the king, as his revenge. but the boy meets a friar who teaches right from wrong, and
to protect the weak and downtrodden. and while he prays on the rich and wicked. he wins the love of the proud daughter of one powerful
Barons of England. If you like a story that has the Bad Guys getting their come-uppence. and where the Good Guy gets the girl, this is it.
this is the fourth copy of this book I've had. I cannot recommend more highly.
